Email Campaigns

 

Creating a campaign

Creating an email campaign is very easy we simply click the "New" button. A new entry will be added

here we can Set a name for our campaign and save it.

 

 

Assigning Campaign Members

There are two ways to assign members to your campaign. First you can use the Groups from your contacts screen.

To add one of the groups in your contacts list simply drag the group from the left column to the right hadn memebers box.

 

The second way to add a campaign memebr is individually, by typing the name of the contact in the Add Contact box.

Creating The Email Message

To open the message editor screen we need to click the Edit/Execute button from the task bar.

This will open the message editor.

 

File Attachments

Here you will be presented with various email options. First you will see the attachment field where you may browse

for a file to attach to the email that is sent out to all the campaign members.

 

 

Email Subject

Next is the message subject, this is the subject that will show on the email.

 

 

Link Tracking

The track links in Email option is a new feature in bizzvo that will convert all links in the email to trackable links.

This means when someone clicks the link in the email it will automatically track how many times that link was clicked for

this specific campaign. This will show on the campaign report you can print later.

 

 

Custom Fields

Custom fields are template fields that will auto-fill with information in the contact. For instance if you were to use the custom tag

<!--CUSTFIELD=FullName--> it would replace this with the email campaign members full name.

To insert a custom field simply click the Insert Custom Field link which will open the custom field box allowing you to choose which

custom field to insert.

 

 

The Email Message Body

Lastly we will enter the body of the email. The editor works like a standard word document. You can bold text and format it with

the various options on the toolbar.

 

If you are an advanced or power user you can click the Source button on the toolbar in order to switch to HTML CODE

you can then edit the html of the email directly.

 

IMPORTANT NOTE: AS OF OUTLOOK 2007 OUTLOOK CAN NO LONGER VIEW PROPER FORMATTED HTML WITH DIVS FOR LAYOUT (yeah we shook our heads too)

If you need to layout your email please go back to using Tables or your email will not look right in outlook 2007+

 

 

Inserting Images into the body

Inserting images is very easy simply click the image button on the toolbar

This will open the image screen, from here you first need to click the UPLOAD TAB

you must upload your image to the bizzvo server first, otherwise your image will not be seen in the email.

With the exception of external linked images which you may instead specify an image URL in the Image Info tab

If you wish to make the image a clickable link, open the LINK TAB and specify the URL to go to.

 

Saving your message

Once you have finished creating your email you need to save it! At the top of the screen click the Save Message Button.

If you are certain you have selected the proper members and message for the campaign you can also click Execute which will first

save the campaign message and then execute the campaign sending the message to all campaign members.

 

Executing your campaign

To execute the campaign you must first have the Message Editor open,  Select your campaign and click the Edit/Execute Button on the task bar.

Once the screen is open you can select execute campaign. Once a campaign has been executed it can no longer be modified.

 

Mail Server Settings

In order to send the emails out you must have first set an SMTP mail server in the preferences Tab of Bizzvo.

 

 

Email Templates and Copying Messages

In Bizzvo email campaigns any campaign can serve as a template.

You simply click the the Campaign which you would like to copy and click the Copy command on the task bar.

You will be prompted to Copy the Whole campaign including members or just the Message in the campaign.

You can then give the campaign a New name save it and edit the campaign as you see fit.

 

Printing Campaign Reports

To print a campaign report simply click the print icon located beside each campaign.

You will be able to print a report including who opened the email unsubscribed to the email or see any errors in delivering the email.

 

 

The Activity Feed

The activity feed is a real time view of whats happening with your email campaigns. the feed shows the latest actions on all campaigns.
