How to import contacts into Bizzvo

Step 1 - Export contacts to CSV

• We have found the majority of programs will allow you to export to a CSV file. The procedures are different for each application, we will use outlook as an example.

1. From Outlook's File menu select Import And Export...
2. From the list of actions to perform, select Export to a file
3. choose comma seperated values (Windows) and click Next
4. choose your contacts folder from the list to export from and click Next
5. click browse and choose a place to save the CSV file Click Next
6. Click Finish

Step 2 - Open the contact import screen

1. Log into your bizzvo account
2. click Import Contacts on the tool bar

   

3.  Click Browse and find your CSV file

    

4. You shuold now see something similar to the screen below.

5. Fields that were automatically mapped will be bold.  To map a field from the imported file (Green Fields) to a bizzvo field (Blue Fields) Simply drag the green field from the left to the desired blue field on the right.

   When the field is mapped it will show as red in the middle

   

Step 3 - Select group memberships

• You can now select any groups you have created on the contacts screen. For example if you have a group named "Prospects" you can have all imported contacts belong to that group

1. Click the Add Group Button
2.  click on the desired group

Step 4 - Import the contacts

• All thats left is to click continue! you should see a message saying the contacts have finished importing.

   

Problems?

• If you are not importing a file from outlook please make sure you select "Other" under the import type.
• If you have selected Other and still no contacts were imported please contact us at support@bizzvo.com and we will help you import the contacts
• Please be sure your CSV file has a header row as the first row in the CSV file.
